How to Eat More Vegetables:
We all know we should eat more vegetables. But how, how do we do that, really? What real-life tips and ideas work? How can we build our lives around the healthiest of all foods, vegetables? Every Saturday (and the occasional Sunday when the day before was such spring loveliness that the thought of sitting down to a computer was the last thing even the most ardent vegetable lover would do), the 'veggie evangelist' shares practical tips and ideas from her own experience, her readers and other bloggers.

TIP #9
Move on. If you try a vegetable and don't like it, no problem, move on, there's another. Life's too short to eat stuff we don't like when there are plenty more choices. Besides, didn't your mother make you eat [name the worst one ever] canned spinach, creamed corn, overcooked asparagus and don't you still hate that one thing?

  1. This post cracked me up! My husband loves canned spinach -- topped with red wine vinegar. Our kids complain heartily when he makes it, they can't stand the smell. And, I hate canned spinach. It is certainly one of those foods that I can't image liking.

    Over this past year, I've made a point of re-trying vegetables and fruits I was positive I didn't like. There are some that are still deep in the column of "No, thank you!" and others I've been surprised they taste much better than my memories allowed. I do find that roasting makes any "iffy" vegetable DELICIOUS!!!
